October is Maine Farm and Sea to School Month!

 Join us and school, early care and education sites, farms, communities and organizations across the state and country as we celebrate food education, school gardens and lunch trays filled with healthy, local ingredients.

The National Farm to School Network advocated for the creation of National Farm to School Month by Congress in 2010 and now organizes the annual celebration with hundreds of partner organizations across the country.

The Maine Farm to School Network advocated and Governor Janet Mills officially issued a gubernatorial proclamation recognizing October as Farm & Sea to School Month in Maine in 2025.

Maine Farm to School Month is a great opportunity to plan a new farm to school activity, organize a special celebration, or initiate a new partnership.
