The application period for the 2024-2025 Institute is now closed

Please check back here in February for 2025-26 applications.

For support on building your school team application, tune in to the 2024 Info Session and contact Institute Organizer Alida Farrell a.farrell@hccame.org with questions.

Scope of Work

This opportunity is open to schools of all grade levels - including individual elementary schools and early childhood education centers.

This Institute aims to center student leadership in FSTS program development. If your school can get their whole district onboard to apply, MFSN encourages middle/high school student team members.

Program Fee

There is a $900 non-refundable program fee to participate in this year-long professional development opportunity.

If this program fee is a barrier to your team’s participation, reach out directly to MFSN via email at a.farrell@hccame.org to request a scholarship.

Selection Guidelines

5 School Teams will be selected primarily based on:

  • Readiness - Do you have capacity and enthusiasm across your school community?

  • Community Participation - Does your team have leadership from school nutrition, administration, teaching faculty, and/or staff?

  • Need - Does your school already have a thriving Farm & Sea to School program, or is there room to expand?

  • Demographics - Does your school serve a student population in need of this support program? Are your students engaged and interested in this opportunity?
